如果說極地的冰雪象徵著時間的凝結,那麼沙漠則展現了時間的流動性,而光則是作為空間的臨界現象。《空間真實--在消失之前》,試圖在這片極端環境中,以最純粹的元素——光、沙、風、輻射霧、時間與溫差,來探討人類與空間的存在性關係。空間的真實性不再依附於穩固的形態,而是體現在瞬息萬變與稍縱即逝的狀態之中。 沙漠作為一種「反空間」的存在,始終處於消逝與重塑的循環之內,既無固定邊界,亦無確切尺度。作品透過一道臨時的光線瞬間劃破寂靜,而當風沙襲來,光跡消隱,空間的痕跡隨之湮滅,作品則回歸至「未曾存在」的臨界狀態,在有與無、顯現與消逝之間來回擺盪。 這種特質使其不同於傳統的雕塑或建築,作品不依賴固定的結構,而是透過短暫的光影來書寫空間,使之成為一場關於時間、感知與記憶的哲學提問。在無尺度的沙漠之中,身體成為唯一能測度空間的基準,使空間得以被感知、被測量,乃至於被想像。 |

If the polar ice symbolizes the condensation of time, then the desert reveals its fluidity, while light serves as the critical phenomenon of space. Spatial Reality – Before Vanishing seeks to explore the relationship between human existence and space within this extreme environment, using the purest elements—light, sand, wind, radiation fog, time, and temperature variations. The reality of space is no longer reliant on fixed forms but is instead manifested in fleeting and ever-changing states.
The desert, as a form of "anti-space," exists in a constant cycle of disappearance and renewal, without fixed boundaries or definite scales. The work introduces a temporary beam of light that momentarily ruptures the silence, only for the trace of light to vanish when the wind and sand rise, erasing spatial imprints into oblivion. In this oscillation between presence and absence, between appearance and disappearance, the work returns to a state of "never having existed."
This quality sets it apart from traditional sculpture or architecture—the work does not rely on fixed structures but rather inscribes space through ephemeral light and shadow, turning it into a philosophical inquiry about time, perception, and memory. Within the scale-less vastness of the desert, the body becomes the only reference for measuring space, allowing space to be perceived, measured, and ultimately imagined.
